I would be gaining valuable knowledge in the classroom and also in an internship field of my choice. No other programs I looked into offered me that opportunity." This course will begin with an examination of the principal institutions and behavior patterns of British politics, including the structure of government and the interaction of voters, parties, and leaders. We will then address several current or controversial issues which have a marked impact on the political world in Britain, including the Monarchy, religion, class, and immigration. Finally, Britain's unique role in the European Union will be analyzed. Field trips will include visits to Parliament and other relevant sites.
